Die zweite Ausgabe der von Harald Klinke (LMU) und Liska Surkemper (TUM) herausgegebenen Open Access-Zeitschrift legt den Schwerpunkt auf die Visualisierung großer Mengen an Bilddaten: Visualizing Big Image Data.

Das DAH-Journal ist eine Plattform für Projekte und Ideen, zum Netzwerken, zur Erweiterung des Wissens und für die Weiterentwicklung der Kunstgeschichte. Es enthält diesmal 12 Artikel auf 221 Seiten und erscheint als PDF-Datei mit 300dpi (geeignet zum Lesen am Rechner und Tablet). Zusätzlich wird eine EPUB-Version angeboten (zum Lesen auf dem Handy). Ein Tipp: Auf Seiten 113 und 212 befinden sich Videos.

Das Journal hat einen eigenen Newsletter, der über neue Ausgaben informiert. Zudem gibt es einen Twitter-Feed. Die Leser werden aktiv zur Mitarbeit aufgerufen: als Autor, Reviewer oder Korrekturleser. Leserbriefe können an editors@dah-journal.org gesendet werden.
